A genus of bark, rock and house dwellers from both the Old and New Worlds;
the commonnest NA species is the human-associated "Zebra spider" (Salticus
scenicus). The other species occur in the west.

Habitat
Typically bark dwellers in the wild, though S. scenicus is best known from house walls.
