Holotype, allotype, and morphtype, National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution, Washington D.C. 148895, 148896, 148897; paratypes, National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution, Washington D.C., British Museum (Natural History), London, England, and Rijksmuseum van Natuurlijke Historie, Leiden, The Netherlands.

Type Locality

Ojo de Carbonera, 4.3 km (2.7 mi) south of Ejido Rancho Nuevo, approximately 57.6 kilometers (36 air miles) west of Villa Ahumada, Chihuahua, Mexico.

Range

Known only from the vicinity of the type locality.

Habitat

Streams.
