Is actively running a group exploring novel actinomycetes esp. from lake sediments, under very poor infrastructural conditions. We have recently isolated several new isolates from sediments and salt deposits-many seems to be interesting. Trying to characterize them by peering into microscopes and doing some biochemical tests seems to be a happy agony!
